Q. Do you serve tea?
A. Yes! All of our loose leaf teas and (almost) all of our hand blended herbal infusions are available by the cup (to go or to stay), small pot and large pot.

Q. Do you have wifi?
A. Nope. We also ask folks to leave their laptops at home. We do have a wide selection of books and games and strive to be a space where people can disconnect from technology and reconnect to other humans, a good book, you’re inner artist/poet etc…

Q. Do you brew your own Kombucha?
A. Yes! We are now proud to offer you house brewed kombucha, jun (kombucha brewed with honey), fermented herbal infusions and water kefir. We are calling it Folklore Ferments since its a Fermentation Wizard (Andrew), Tea Sourcer’or'(Joel) and a Plant Witch (Leah) combining their years of knowledge with the magic of nature to create the most powerful ferment possible. We’re using only the finest teas and herbs that we’ve been already working with for years making each batch top of the line. Our tap room is tucked away in the back of the shop and has a rotating selection of 6-8 fermented offerings on tap. Come in and enjoy a full pour of try a flight.
We are also concocting select menu of unique and delicious hand crafted non-alcoholic elixirs and potions if you want to take your level of fermented enjoyment up a notch 🙂

Q. Do you do growler fills of kombucha?
A. Yes. We can fill growlers with any brew we currently have on tap! Get your own Folklore Ferments growler or bring one from home if it is 16 or 32oz.

Q. Do you serve food?
A. We are not a restaurant but we DO offer a wonderful selection of sweet and savory baked goods from Dozen Bakery delivered fresh each morning as well as South River Miso soups.

Q. Where do I park?
A Parking is a thing in Nashville now BUT we do offer FREE parking in our parking lot behind our shop and on the left side of the ramp leading down to that lot.

Q. Do you offer handicap accessible parking?
A Absolutely! We have a space right up front dedicated to anyone in need of a convenient space right by the ramp leading to the front door.

Q. Do you buy fresh or dried herbs from local growers?
A. We certainly do! There is a bit of a process to go through to get started because we take great measures to assure that we’re always offering the best quality herbs. We typically only need dried herbs (with occasional fresh herb exceptions for kombucha).
To bring in a new grower, we first must do a site visit checking growing practices, immediate environment and surrounding environment. This is a time consuming commitment on our part, so we do ask that you would be able to offer a minimum of 10lb dried herb in the growing season as well as harvesting and drying knowledge since this knowledge is crucial for dried herbs to be their very best and most potent. 10lbs dried is usually around 30-40lb fresh as all the water dries out and makes it much much lighter.
After the site visit, we will then provide you with a list of most desired herbs and price lists.
This may sound like a bit of hassle, but we are very serious about top quality herbs and respectful growing practices for our earth and the plants. Happy growing and green blessings!
