Shipping policy

SHIPPING OPTIONS -

We are currently testing the waters on a flat rate and free shipping option.

If you select either the $5 Flat Rate, or Free Shipping over $100 option... We will use our discretion and choose either USPS or UPS based on whichever rate is more economical for your shipping address, but we will also take carrier pickup schedules into consideration.

For example, if we complete your order on a Wednesday or Friday morning (which are days UPS typically does NOT service our area), we will most likely select USPS if it means your order will be shipped out sooner, and isn't cost prohibitive. Likewise, if we finish your order after USPS has made their afternoon pickup, but before UPS makes their evening pickup, and the UPS rate isn't cost prohibitive, we will select UPS shipping.

Or you can specify USPS or UPS.

USPS shipping rates are determined by weight and this option is typically best for smaller orders, or orders that need to ship to PO Boxes. USPS makes daily pickups from us typically every day Monday through Saturday.

UPS Carbon Neutral Ground shipping is a simple flat rate by region and may be best for larger orders. UPS only services our rural area on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week. So if your order is completed on a Wednesday or Friday it will ship out with the next UPS service day pickup.

UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes. If UPS is selected by the delivery address is a PO Box we will ship via USPS instead.

DELIVERY POLICY -

We ship from production facility in Rising Fawn, GA (near Chattanooga TN) and offer USPS and UPS shipping options.

We fill orders in the order they are received Monday through Friday. Orders filled on Monday will ship out Tuesday and so on.

Turnaround time varies depending on the volume of orders we are receiving at any given time, but typically we are able to complete orders within 3-4 days

meaning orders are shipped out within 4-5 days. Order completion and tracking information emails are sent out upon order completion.

UPS will not ship to PO Boxes and if a customer selects UPS shipping but the shipping address is a PO Box we will ship via USPS instead.

We are not responsible for packages after they have been picked up and are in the hands of USPS or UPS. We are not responsible for delivery issues outside of our control. If we have made an error on a shipping label we will absolutely do whatever we need to do to make it right, but we are not responsible for delivery issues due to mistakes make by USPS or UPS, or due to shipping address being incorrectly or inadequately entered by customers at checkout.

We will of course work with UPS and USPS to help facilitate delivery issue resolutions.

Please Note: If a package is returned to us due to an insufficient or inaccurate address provided to us from the customer (for example: an apartment number was

left out and the USPS was unable to deliver, or someone has moved and didn’t leave a forwarding address etc) we may ask that the customer pay the new shipping

charges before the package is again shipped out.

Please Note:

UPS has been rather inconsistent over the past few months with our shipping rates. There are times when UPS wants to charge us an exorbitant rate, sometimes up to $95, to ship a 1 pound package to a neighboring state. There is no rhyme or reason to this, and there is no way for us to know this in advance of someone placing an order as it only applies to random addresses that UPS deems as extremely rural or not on a convenient route.  We do not make money off of shipping rates as we try to charge rates that very closely reflect our actual shipping costs, but we obviously can't afford to lose this much on shipping when the cost of the product is less than the cost of shipping.

For this reason, if you select UPS shipping but it turns out that your address is one of the lucky ones that UPS is charging us an abnormally high rate we will ship via USPS priority mail instead. If the USPS rate is less than the UPS charge you paid on your order we will refund you the difference.

We are very sorry to have to put this disclaimer out there, but it's starting to happen too frequently to ignore.
