HOW TO BREW:

Bagged: Use 1 tea bag per 16 oz of 190 ºF water. Begin drinking when temperature is comfortable but never remove tea bag.

Loose Leaf: Use 2 Tb per 16 oz 190 ºF water and steep a minimum of 15 minutes.

The longer these herbs steep the better and more potent the herbal infusion will be.

Add sweetness if you prefer.  May be re-steeped several times.

I drink this blend a few times per week consistently and increase that to daily if i’m feeling extra “sensitive” and flared. I also pair it with our Bladder Releaf tincture for more “in the moment” soothing and relief. Can be drank hot or cold.

Teaching Herbalism through TeaCraft:

I created this blend over a decade ago out of need for myself. Interstitial cystitis is a condition that I have suffered with since I was a child, and it is also what got me into herbalism. I have found incredible relief, comfort and healing from herbs and that is saying a lot for this difficult to deal with condition. I made this herbal tea to not only help with the pain but also to tend to the irritated and ulcerated tissues. I didnt just want to mask the pain, I wanted to bring actual relief to my urinary system. . I included Plantain leaf because of its incredible power to not only offer anti inflammatory benefit but also tighten and tone ulcerated and boggy tissues while somehow offering a soothing demulcent property. Its been a best friend of mine for years. I then added parsley root which is another urinary analgesic taught to me many years ago by an Amish herbalist who called upon it for almost any bladder pain condition. This herb truly has brought some amazing pain relief quite quickly to me when I needed it most. Lastly, I added in Marshmallow root that is not only soothing and pain relieving but it is also anti inflammatory to those highly irritated tissues bringing deeper benefit. I personally drink this blend at least a few times per week and daily if I’m experiencing a more sensitive time. I can’t express how much relief and peace of mind it has brought me.

If you would like to learn more about interstitial cystitis, I have a research paper that I wrote on this condition available on this website. Its in depth to say the least with lots of golden nuggets for anyone seeking.

I am by no means claiming that this product diagnoses, heals, treats or anything the medical condition interstitial cystitis. I am not allowed to claim that without this herbal tea going through drug trials which it of course has not. it is not a drug and is not intended to be. This is an herbal product I created for my own specific needs and found great comfort in. I wanted to share it with those that may as well.

Our Packaging

Our packaging is intentionally minimal and environmentally conscious.  The kraft bags holding our teas are recycled and compostable.  The inner lining is plant based and the outer layer is FDA approved recycled natural Kraft. Tin tie closures need to be removed prior to sending it to compost heap.

Our unbleached tea bags are sealed with a food grade staple and no chemical sealant.  Each is compostable, as well as the herbs inside, once staple is removed.  They love to return to the earth.

We are constantly seeking ways we can do better and lessen our impact.
