Teaching Herbalism Through Tea Craft

I wanted to capture cozy in a cup.  So, what is cozy?

To me, cozy is feeling a deep sense of calmness and contentment.  So, I brought in Passionflower to calm the racing mind and Linden flower to soothe an anxious tummy or heart.  I then considered the delicious and gentle calming effects of chamomile and lemonbalm and knew they must be included as well.

Cozy is also a giddiness… you want to smile and don’t even know why. I knew the blend needed an uplifting quality so I brought in sweet orange, hibiscus and sumac berry for their natural citrus mood enhancement.

Cozy is feeling well cared for and nourished.  You feel safe and well.  I invited red rooibos because of its incredibly high levels of vitamins, minerals and nutrients.

Cozy is feeling a sense of familiar you just can’t put your finger on.  I considered what may bring that to the cup, and almost nothing can beat what seasonal spices can do for bringing that sense of familiarity to a time and space.

One last touch I just couldn't leave out is the unexplainable magic about a cozy moment.  Bay leaf aroma speaks out to the otherworldly.  Call the fae, call your guides and ancestors, call your highest self and knowing.  Allow a little magic in your life.

Our Packaging

Our packaging is intentionally minimal and environmentally conscious.  The kraft bags holding our teas are recycled and compostable.  The inner lining is plant based and the outer layer is FDA approved recycled natural Kraft. Tin tie closures need to be removed prior to sending it to compost heap.

Our unbleached tea bags are sealed with a food grade staple and no chemical sealant.  Each is compostable, as well as the herbs inside, once staple is removed.  They love to return to the earth.

We are constantly seeking ways we can do better and lessen our impact.
