Loose Leaf: Use 2 Tb per 16 oz of 195 ºF water and steep a minimum of 12 minutes.

The longer these herbs steep the better and more potent the herbal infusion will be.

Teaching Herbalism Through Tea Craft

I made this morning blend because, though I have good intentions to drink all of my wellness teas in a day,  sometimes I get too busy and forget to.  But… I never forget to drink that first cup in the morning.  Here was my answer.  Pack my morning cup with what I wanted to offer my body today. Here’s to a truly good morning!

In this blend, I focused on the need for a cleaner system. The liver takes on so many toxins and difficult to “categorize” chemicals that it needs constant care and attention to keep it working at optimal condition. If one eliminatory organ is bogged down, then the rest of our eliminatory organs start feeling the burden as well. We may see our skin break out, our digestion get worse, our urinary system showing issues, getting sick more often than in the past, or just feeling more worn down and “toxic.” I brought together some of my favorite liver tonics that would pair well with the boosting and roasty yerba mate to make this brew exactly what you want to taste in the morning as well as what you are hoping to offer your body. Dandelion root, chicory root and schisandra berry are all fantastic liver tonics while beet root and sumac berry are nutritive powerhouses. I added the kola nut for a clean and vibrant energy to compliment that of the antioxidant rich yerba mate. The color of this brew hints to the magic in its work as often the “doctrine of signatures” will do. The deep burgundy red that turns a rich earth brown eludes to how it helps our blood build strength from the earth and roots around us. You can have the best of both worlds when we blend with purpose and skill. Enjoy!

Our Packaging

Our packaging is intentionally minimal and environmentally conscious.  The kraft bags holding our teas are recycled and compostable.  The inner lining is plant based and the outer layer is FDA approved recycled natural Kraft. Tin tie closures need to be removed prior to sending it to compost heap.

Our unbleached tea bags are sealed with a food grade staple and no chemical sealant.  Each is compostable, as well as the herbs inside, once staple is removed.  They love to return to the earth.

We are constantly seeking ways we can do better and lessen our impact.
