A dark, smooth Indian black tea with hints of sweet mint and citrus. Like a bright ray of sunshine and a cool breeze on a warm summer’s day. Southern sweet tea at its best!

Health notes: The premium black tea offers top quality antioxidant support because of its growing region and knowledgeable harvesting and processing techniques. It also brings energy, focus, and bowel health.

The lemon verbena is a known nervous system tonic to assure the energy from the black tea stays smooth and enjoyable while it also offers digestive support. Orange peel is an uplifting burst of flavor and also supports healthy digestion. Spearmint cools this brew for an amazing finish along with combining in more digestive support, blood sugar support, and enhanced focus.

ALL ORGANIC INGREDIENTS:

Assam black tea, Lemon Verbena, Spearmint + Dried Oranges

{ Moderately Caffeinated }

Full package is 10 large teabags (3 steeps per bag)

Small package is 3 large teabags (3 steeps per bag)

Loose Leaf offers about 7 Tb or 21 teaspoons.  This makes approximately 2 quarts per oz of loose leaf.

Iced Tea Brewing Directions per quart:

Steep 2 tea bags (or 3.5 Tb loose tea blend in a large steeping bag) in 1/2 quart of 190º water for 4 minutes. Cover while steeping. Remove tea bags after 4 minutes. For Southern sweet tea, Add 2 Tb sugar (or to taste) and a lemon wedge. Stir. Add 1/2 quart cold water. Stir and pour over ice in glasses to enjoy. Can refrigerate up to 4 days to enjoy later :)

Iced Tea brewing Directions per 16oz glass:

Steep 1 tea bag or 1.5 Tb loose tea blend in approximately 4oz 190º water for 4 minutes. Cover while steeping. Remove tea leaves, add ½-1Tb sugar (to taste), stir, fill with 8oz cold water and pour over 16oz glass filled with ice. Should fill a 16oz glass, if not, add more water and enjoy! Can garnish with lemon.

Sun Tea Instructions

Place 2 teabags or 3.5TB in a quart jar (32oz) and cover with filtered/distilled/pure water, filling the jar completely.  Cap, shake well, and place in direct sunlight allowing the sun to provide natural heat and infusion into the water.  Time equals strength of brew.  I like a minimum of a 3 hour steep.  If you want it sweetened, simply fill another jar with 1 cup of sugar and 1.5 cups of water.  Cap, shake well,  and place into the sun as well.  This will be your simple syrup to sweeten the tea as you like.

Once the sun steep is complete, simply strain the tea or remove the tea bags and enjoy! Add sweetener to taste and a squeeze of lemon makes this one extra special.  Can save in fridge for up to 3 days.

Note: Some say that this method is not safe for those with severely compromised immune systems.
