GOLDEN MONKEY ORGANIC

Golden Monkey is quickly becoming one of the worlds favorite black teas and I’m not surprised.

The small black and gold twisted leaves resemble little monkey paws, if you use your imagination, and brew up into a rich, smooth, earthy, quintessential Chinese black tea with obvious cocoa notes.

I’m very pleased to say that this year’s Golden Monkey is now Certified Organic!

Tasting Notes: Cocoa, caramel, malt, earth.

Origin: Fujian, China

Preparation: Use 1 full Tb per 16 oz of purified 195º-205º water. I prefer 2.5 - 3 minutes on the first steep and an additional minute for the next couple brews, but you may enjoy a 4-5 minute first steep if you want more strength and less sweetness.

We do this completely by hand, just like our herbal blends, and each teabag contains approximately 4-5 grams of tea. That’s basically a full Tb of tea per teabag, the perfect size for a large mug or small tea pot. The 10 teabag package contains approximately 1.5 oz of tea.
