For anyone who’s never experienced this fine hand rolled jasmine pearl, here’s how they’re made…

Full bodied premium organic green tea leaves are rolled up into pearls by hand, one at a time. The jasmine is imparted into this tea by layering freshly picked flowers on top of the tea leaves 5 separate times until the desired level of jasmine is reached. This is a very special, labor intensive hand crafted tea. These pearls maintain a soft sweetness, which I prefer and look for in good jasmine teas, as it balances out the bright, refreshing floral notes.

Origin: China

Preparation: Use 1 Tb per 16 oz of purified 175º water. I prefer a 2.5 - 3 minutes on the first steep and then 3-4 minutes on additional steeps. This tea is very responsive to time and temperature so be careful to not allow this one to over steep as it will become quite astringent. You may even prefer a 1-2 minute steep if you enjoy your jasmine tea on the soft sweet side.
