SENCHA CLASSIC ORGANIC

A wonderful, fine grade, daily Japanese green tea. One step below our Sencha Superior, but similar in feel and certified organic!

Tasting Notes: This is a full bodied, strong but smooth, wonderfully balanced quintessential Japanese green tea. Savory umami, a touch grassy bite (depending on how it’s steeped), maybe a hint of floral, and very very green.

Origin: Uji, Japan

Preparation: Use 1 full Tb per 16 oz of purified 175º water. Steep 45 seconds (add 15 seconds per each additional steep). Longer steep times will pull out more “bite” but I suggest going by 10-15 second increments (not minutes) as Japanese green teas tend to be fairly sensitive. Good for at least 3 infusions.

As always, experiment with different temperatures and steep times to see what you prefer for each individual tea. Make it perfectly suited to your taste!
