Understanding the Ingredients: Each ingredient was chosen with much study and intention. I didnt’ want to just make some surface level beauty blend. I wanted to create something that helped you shine the deep beauty within and to help you feel as beautiful as you truly are. Skin health radiates from the inside out so I chose certain ingredients with this knowledge.
HONEYBUSH has been highly regarded in studies showing its potential to suppress collagen tissue breakdown as well as offer high antioxidant and anti inflammatory support. It’s also highly nutritive to feed the body rich and easy to absorb key vitamins and minerals. ROSEHIPS are packed with easy to absorb and assimilate naturally occurring Vitamin C well known to stimulate collagen production. SEA BUCKTHORN BERRY is rich in Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids which can help boost the elasticity of skin, and it has also been known to help rid the system of toxins which can assist in maintaining the integrity of your skin. HIBISCUS CALYX now has the reputation as “natural Botox” and while I would not make this comparison, I. would note the high levels of antioxidants present in hibiscus can help decrease elastase activity (which breaks down elastin) Hibiscus also contains vitamin C, which promotes the production of collagen, thus helping to maintain skin elasticity. Hibiscus is also cooling and can support us in keeping our cool and finding our center. ROSE PETALS have been noted to tend to the skin from within, showing ability to even out complexion, and potentially lighten hyperpigmentation. Rose Petals can improve hydration levels and the overall quality and radiance of the skin. Rose has long been noted as a love tonic and heart therapy, which we can help but agree with the moment we smell the sweet scent. AMLA BERRY is considered among the most popular herbs in Ayurveda. It is found to have the highest known amounts of vitamin C, 20 times that of an orange. Incorporating amla in skincare has been part of Ayurvedic care for ages. Scientific studies have also shown the benefits of amla in improving our skin’s look and health as it has a rich blend of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Amla is noted to bring deep restorative balance to those who bring it into their daily lives. HORSETAIL was an obvious choice containing high levels of silica which highly supports collagen production as well as tissue repair. HOLY BASIL has been long hailed as a beauty tonic in India and has also been confirmed in some studies to promote healthier aging skin, reduce pigmentation and soothe skin irritations and inflammation. Holy Basil is a lovely adaptogen, helping us deal with stressors and find beauty in each day. Lastly, ROSEMARY was brought in as a final sprinkle of protection as it contains carnosic acid noted to help protect the skin from damaging UV rays as well as its circulatory support.
Not your ordinary teabag: Our hand-made teabags are large since they are a full portion to provide you with the intended benefit and desired support. Each one may be re-steeped several times throughout the day. The brewed tea may also be saved in the fridge over night and enjoyed chilled the following day. They are each handcrafted in perfect measurement within a microplastic free teabag and hand stapled with a stainless steel staple. This is slow craft herbalism with care.
{10 pack is 2.1oz and 3 pack is .63oz }
Loose leaf or bagged are both created in very small batches in our woodland teahouse from thoughtfully sourced ingredients and professionally formulated by Leah, owner and clinical herbalist.
HOW TO BREW:
Bagged: Use 1 tea bag per 16 oz of 190ºF water. Begin drinking when temperature is comfortable but never remove tea bag. Add more hot water once the cup is finished for a second or third infusion for full benefit.
Loose Leaf: Use 1.5 Tb per 16 oz of 190 ºF water and steep a minimum of 15 minutes. Ideally pouring off bits of the tea as the rest continues to steep. I really enjoy placing loose leaf in a French press, pouring off the tea to drink, and recovering with more water for a full day infusion of full benefit.
The longer these herbs steep the better and more potent the herbal infusion will be. Add sweetness if you prefer.
Earth first packaging: Our packaging is intentionally minimal and environmentally conscious. The kraft bags holding our teas are 100% recycled and backyard compostable. Our teabags are compostable, as well as the herbs inside, once the staple is removed. They love to return to the earth. We are constantly seeking ways we can do better and lessen our impact.
