Understanding the Ingredients: Sometimes it can be overwhelming to try and be healthy. So many supplements, vitamins, herbs and more to take. I created this blend to be a simple, all around, well rounded tonic focused on true health and system strength. I specifically considered some organs and systems such as the immune system (specifically the lymphatic system, liver, and gut), cardiovascular system, nervous system, and overall easily absorbed nourishment which play such a large role in vitality. I chose Astragalus to be in this blend for its immune system balancing and nourishing effects while it is also a gentle lung tonic. Elderberry was an easy choice to include as a traditional immune system tonic especially in viral issues as well as its cell protective properties and extremely high antioxidant count. Yellow Dock adds liver and gut tonic effects to help the body stay filtered and clean. Hawthorn leaf and berry are well known and powerful cardiovascular system tonics to give your heart some love. Stinging nettle is a nutritive powerhouse and is basically an easily absorbed multivitamin and vitality elixir with countless and still undiscovered benefits. Horsetail is included because of its circulatory, kidney tonic, and tissue protective benefits. I had to include one of my favorite herbs, Calendula, for its lymphatic system support as well as its gentle antiviral properties. It helps to filter, soothe, strengthen and support in so many ways. Holy Basil couldn’t be left out because our nervous systems certainly need the nourishment that this adaptogen offers while also offering the immune system and digestive system support. Finally, I wanted to really protect the lymphatic tissues and overall cell health in the lungs so Eleuthro root offers that support while being a nervous and adrenal system tonic. I then topped if off with a pinch of spearmint for a nice flavor to enjoy every sip of wellness. Enjoy and stay well my friends.
Not your ordinary teabag: Our hand-made teabags are large since they are a full portion to provide you with the intended benefit and desired support. Each one may be re-steeped several times throughout the day. The brewed tea may also be saved in the fridge over night and enjoyed chilled the following day. They are each handcrafted in perfect measurement within a microplastic free teabag and hand stapled with a stainless steel staple. This is slow craft herbalism with care.
{10 pack is 2.5oz and 3 pack is .75oz }
Loose leaf or bagged are both created in very small batches in our woodland teahouse from thoughtfully sourced ingredients and professionally formulated by Leah, owner and clinical herbalist.
HOW TO BREW:
Bagged: Use 1 tea bag per 16 oz of 200 ºF water. Begin drinking when temperature is comfortable but never remove tea bag. Add more hot water once the cup is finished for a second or third infusion for full benefit.
Loose Leaf: Use 1.5 Tb per 16 oz of 200 ºF water and steep a minimum of 15 minutes. Ideally pouring off bits of the tea as the rest continues to steep. I really enjoy placing loose leaf in a French press, pouring off the tea to drink, and recovering with more water for a full day infusion of full benefit.
The longer these herbs steep the better and more potent the herbal infusion will be. Add sweetness if you prefer.
Earth first packaging: Our packaging is intentionally minimal and environmentally conscious. The kraft bags holding our teas are 100% recycled and backyard compostable. Our teabags are compostable, as well as the herbs inside, once the staple is removed. They love to return to the earth. We are constantly seeking ways we can do better and lessen our impact.
